The ULTIMATE Spring and Summer Hair Inspo

I think sometimes we forget just how versatile our hair is! I have been loving seeing girlies tap into creativity and nostalgia, and reminding us that your curls don’t have to fit a certain mold in order to achieve a certain style. The possibilities are endless … here is some inspo to hopefully help you explore and play this spring before we lock in those protective styles for summer.

Mini twists have taken over my timeline and I am here for it! This low tension, low maintenance style gives you all the versatility you could hope for while keeping your hair tucked away for optimum hair growth. Check out Kimberly Cherrell’s video on how to achieve this look.

Headwraps are a tried and true hack for jazzing up a protective style or tucking your hair away to give it a break between styles. Overall it is such a cute and easy way to spice up your look with endless colors and styles to choose from. Check out this tutorial!

Bubble braids are a perfect example of tapping into and elevating a childhood staple. I recently tried this style myself and found it to be such a cute style for re-moisturizing and styling your hair in between wash days. You can see how I executed it by clicking on the video below.

I’m sorry, who said claw clips aren’t for us? … I’ll wait … Yeah here we are once again to prove that we can engineer and elevate ANY look and SERVE. A simple search on TikTok will show you how exactly the girls are slaying this look, and yes, with Type 4 hair too! Here’s a tutorial to get you started.

Now you know I love a good extension pony! Such an easy way to salvage a failed wash day, switch it up for a night out, or just play with length if you’re growing your hair out like me. There are so many colors and textures to pay with. I recommend the “Shayla” ponytail by Insert Name Here.

I LOVE seeing curly girls, especially with shorter hair, tap into the half up half down style. I think we’ve decided we don’t have to wait for our hair to be a certain length to enjoy certain styles and I love that for us! I especially love doing this style with a middle part, click on the video below to see how.

What are some styles you’ve tried or been curious about trying? I think I’m most curious about mini twists … how about y’all? Comment below!
